During a Home Energy Solutions^SM visit, an authorized contractor will evaluate the energy performance of your home, provide on-the-spot energy-saving improvements, and recommend deeper upgrade opportunities to improve comfort and save energy.

Home Energy Solutions now offers two participation paths based on your availability and your home's size, age and condition:

• One-Visit Model: A convenient, all-in-one appointment.  Your assessment and on-the-spot energy-saving upgrades, including sealing air leaks, happen during the same visit. Larger upgrades and add-on measures may be scheduled separately.
Best for: Homes built after 1985 and under 2,000 sq. ft.

• Two-Visit Model: A flexible, step by-step approach. Your assessment happens first, followed by a second visit for upgrade work such as insulation and air sealing.
Best for: Homes built before 1985, over 2,000 sq. ft., or customers who want more scheduling flexibility.

Please Note: If you are income eligible or live in a 2–4 unit building, your home will follow the two-visit model. Effective April 1, 2026, the initial visit has a copay of $40.

On average, participants receive products and services valued at $1,000 that lead to $70 to $100 in annual energy bill savings.

Proper air sealing and insulation can reduce your annual heating and cooling bills by up to 15 percent. A Home Energy Solutions^SM visit is the first step.

You will also receive a personalized report with a U.S. Department of Energy Home Score^TM and the Home Energy Guide with tips and information about deeper energy-saving upgrades, as well access to rebates and incentives to make energy efficiency upgrades more affordable.

If you meet income eligibility requirements, you may receive the initial visit at no cost. Plus, you could receive additional upgrades at a reduced cost, including up to 100 percent off an approved insulation project and rebates to replace an efficient freezer and/or refrigerator. See if you qualify.

Customers are eligible to participate in Home Energy Solutions only once every six years. Only customers residing in single family homes and properties with four units or less are eligible for this program.

Please note that there is a possibility that a Quality Assurance Inspector will be on-site or will contact you post-service for an inspection.
